"It seems an awfully long time since I became a solicitor.    There aren't many types of disputes I haven't seen - too many negatives there!  What I mean is, I can mediate most types of dispute because I've seen most types of dispute.  I've also seen how destructive disputes and the resultant litigation can be. There is pain and difficulty, personal and financial, for all those involved - family, friends, associates and businesses.

Being locked in dispute is so much worse than doing…well pretty much anything else really.  It is a constant niggle that won’t go away - present in all the waking hours and many of the night time ones too.  

Clients want solutions.  Obviously not at any cost but the freeing up of their lives by solving the problem is always a winning outcome.  And they want solicitors who deliver solutions.   My ambition as a mediator  is to work with clients and solicitors to find the way to a solution.

A mediation is a chance to navigate away from the stressful and uncomfortable journey the parties are on and to find that elusive exit route."
