Our mediation fees
We believe that mediation fees should be transparent, and proportionate to the value in dispute. So ours are set out in the table below.
We don't charge a "booking fee". Nor for preparatory reading. Nor for "extra hours" if the mediation runs late. Nor for travelling time. The fee below is what you pay us.
We are aware that often online mediation can be more convenient, with similar success rates. And since online mediations save us some travel and accommodation costs, it's only fair that we pass that saving on to you, so the fees in the left hand column, for online mediations, are generally a little less.

Notes:
The "amount in dispute" will usually be the total of the claim (or the disputed part of the claim) and any counterclaim. For the lawyers out there, if any counterclaim is purely deployed as a set-off, then we wouldn't count the value of the counterclaim.
We ignore costs in calculating the value of the dispute unless either (a) the claim is a costs dispute; or (b) the costs claimed exceed the amount of the claim, in which case the costs would be what the mediation is really about and our fee will be based on the amount of the costs.
We do not charge anything on top of the prices above for travel costs for mediations throughout most of England. Click here to see which areas we cover without charging travel costs. We are pleased to conduct mediations elsewhere in the UK, but regret that we would need to charge for travel costs and overnight accommodation (where necessary). We hope that we will still represent the best value mediation service available - and if you live in one of those beautiful parts of the country you could always consider an online mediation, which is cheaper anyway!
Our fees are intended to provide a fair reflection of the value of the dispute. If there are exceptional circumstances that mean that in a particular case these fees just do not work fairly, let us know, and we’ll see what we can do.
You will of course also need to budget for your own travel and accommodation costs, and your own advisors' fees.
